Opting out of Big Garbage: Practical Action in an Imperfect System

I attempt to break down the unfathomable size of our country’s waste problem, what keeps it alive, and the devastating effects it has on our planet. I invite you to get educated about the systems in your area, and explore ways to opt out through new habits including composting, recycling right, and rethinking your consumption habits.

The waste management systems we have today are not perfect. But by not using them to our advantage, we are perpetuating the damage they cause. New systems start with informed people. So let's arm ourselves with knowledge and engage in the type of actions that will support the emergence of New Earth.
